The long-awaited regularity race on the enchanting roads of the Dolomites
Today, June 3, the hospitality of Trentino Region welcomed Stella Alpina’s participants to kick off the 37th historic re-enactment of the regularity race organized by Canossa Events and Scuderia Trentina. After accreditation and scrutineering, held at G. Caproni Airport in Trento, the crews finally warmed up the engines of their historic and modern cars in order to start the race, which began from Piedicastello Square, in the city center.
The driving experience in the boundless scenic beauty of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site, headed to Mezzocorona. During the first day, the crews drove along the Wine Route, tackling numerous time trials. The iconic and famous road, one of the most picturesque and ancient routes in Italy, flanks 4249 hectares of land dedicated to the cultivation of grapes.
The itinerary then continued to Egna, where the cars stopped for a brief break under the arcades of the historic center, part of “Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages.” After the stop, the journey continued to Aldino and Monte San Pietro. Once on top of the enchanting Lavazè Pass, located at 1808m and connecting Val d’Ega with Val di Fiemme, the cars passed through the well-known town of Cavalese. The first leg ended in Moena, reference point for Ladin culture and gastronomy. Moena will be the perfect setting of the event, which will host the crews during the entire weekend.
